CLI Benediction
Benediction from Chapter 1 of Fr Caswall’s Catholic Latin Instructor.
- O salutaris Hostia
- Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary
- Tantum ergo
- the collect
Exercises arranged by parts of speech:
- Preposition and Noun.
- Agreement of Adjective, &c., with Noun.
- Genitive Case after Noun.
- Nominative Case before Verb.
- Accusative Case after Verb.
- Dative Case.
The idea is to gain vocabulary from a word for word translation as Evan van Miller describes on interlinear texts.
So I’ll be using Rev Caswall’s glosses from The Catholic’s Latin Instructor, except laid out better along with quizzes and quizlet flashcards.
See how we can get the words to line up thanks to Simple Interlinear Glosses wordpress plugin
